AUSSIE ACE HOLDER SEALS WARSAW WIN AS KURTZ TOPS SPEEDWAY GP STANDINGS

Australian racer Jack Holder gained redemption for his 2023 Warsaw heartbreak with victory in the 2025 Orlen Oil FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw at PGE Narodowy on Saturday.

Holder was cruelly denied victory in the 2023 Warsaw event after the final was stopped due to a crash – with the Lublin and Sheffield rider leading convincingly.

But Holder dominated for all four laps two years on to see off new Speedway GP World Championship leader Brady Kurtz, who was second to deliver an Aussie one-two in the world’s biggest speedway event.

Kurtz’s victory hands him a five-point advantage over Polish icon Bartosz Zmarzlik in the Speedway GP standings ahead of the FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague on May 31.

Polish wild card Patryk Dudek picked up third place, while his compatriot Dominik Kubera was fourth after the pair battled their way through the last-chance qualifiers to huge acclaim from a packed PGE Narodowy.
