Former FIM Speedway World Cup winner Bjarne Pedersen has parted company with Slovak star Martin Vaculik following the nine-time Speedway GP winner’s exit from the series.
Vaculik lost his place in the Speedway GP World Championship at the end of this season after finishing 14th in the standings with 51 points.
Since retiring from the sport at the end of 2021, Pedersen has been part of Vaculik’s pit crew, acting as a coach and mentor. But the 2004 FIM European Speedway GP winner has confirmed they will go their separate ways for 2026.
Posting on Facebook, Pedersen wrote: “It’s been a blast. After four seasons as a member of Vaculik Racing Team, I say goodbye and wish Martin and the team the very best for the future.
“It has been an exciting journey, a journey that I have learned a lot from and can add on top of my own experiences.
“We have had a fantastic team spirit over the years, and personally I am proud of the results we have achieved together, such as six Speedway GP victories and third in the world in 2023.
“Thank you so much #54. From now on we will see what the future holds. BP.”
