Rising star Adam Bubba Bednar became the first Czech rider to win an SGP2 round after storming to an epic victory in the DeWalt FIM SGP2 of Latvia – Riga final on Friday.
While Czechia’s Speedway GP star Jan Kvech won FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship silver in 2022, he did not top the podium in any of the three rounds.
Bednar achieved that feat in the Latvian capital, as he won a dramatic showdown ahead of Ukrainian star Nazar Parnitskyi and Polish racer Wiktor Przyjemski – coming out on top in a final all three riders led at some stage.
Przyjemski still leads the standings on 36 points after winning the series-opening Virkvarn FIM SGP2 of Sweden – Malilla on July 5. Parnitskyi moves into second spot on 32.
