Czech internationals Jan Kvech, Adam Bednar and Vaclav Milik all booked their spots in the Speedway GP qualifications rounds after coming through their national qualifier at Prague’s Marketa Stadium on Tuesday.
Kvech topped the podium on 14 points at the home of the FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague as he took a vital step closer to securing a return to the sport’s biggest stage, having been a full member of the series in 2024 and 2025.
There was a three-rider run-off for the final two spots after Bednar, Milik and Daniel Klima all tied on 13 points.
Local favourite Bednar took the win ahead of Pardubice star Milik, with Prague and Plymouth racer Klima the man who missed out.
However, Klima did enough to earn one of Czech Republic’s spots in the Speedway European Championship qualifiers for 2026, along with Kvech, Bednar and Milik.
The top three will now compete in the Speedway GP international qualifiers for the right to compete in the FIM SGP Challenge at Italian venue Terenzano on July 25. The top four riders there will line up in the 2027 Speedway GP series.
