Denmark’s 2024 SGP2 star Villads Nagel will line up for Swedish side Rospiggarna in the 2025 Bauhaus Elitserien.
Nagel, 17, made his mark on the world stage when he won the silver medal at the 2022 SGP3 event in Wroclaw – the FIM Speedway Youth World Championship for under-16s. He made his debut in SGP2 – the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship – last year, finishing 14th overall, as well as winning the Danish Speedwayligaen with Slangerup.
Rospiggarna boss Mikael Teurnberg is excited to add Nagel to a squad, which also includes the likes of Speedway GP star Kai Huckenbeck, 2021 Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta, SGP2 champion Wiktor Przyjemski, Vadim Tarasenko, Ryan Douglas, Sam Masters and Adam Ellis.
Teurnberg said: “Villads is a rider who can be very good and has strong support behind him. Despite his young age, he has already been riding professionally since he was 16 and is considered one of the most promising riders in the speedway world.
“We won't put too much pressure on him, but he is in the squad and will get to try riding in the Bauhaus league during the season.”
