DUDEK WINS SEC OPENER IN BYDGOSZCZ

Polish star Patryk Dudek took a step closer to securing an FIM Speedway Grand Prix return with victory in the Speedway European Championship opener in Bydgoszcz on Saturday.

Dudek scored 15 championship points, but Woryna leaves the Polonia Stadium level at the top of the championship after scoring 14 points in the heats, before adding a point in the final.

Both Lebedevs and Danish star Michael Jepsen Jensen left Bydgoszcz with 12 championship points, putting them both in the running, with Wozniak tallying 10 points.

French international Dimitri Berge scored nine, with double SGP2 champion Mateusz Cierniak and double SEC champion Leon Madsen scoring eight points apiece.
