EKSTRALIGA | JEPSEN JENSEN STARS AS GRUDZIADZ MOVES CLEAR

Danish champion Michael Jepsen Jensen raced to 12 points for Grudziadz as they moved three points clear in top spot with a comfortable 54-36 win at home to Zielona Gora in the PGE Ekstraliga on Sunday.

MJJ racked up three wins, a second and a third ahead of a busy week, which sees him defend his Danish Championship in Esbjerg on Wednesday, before visiting Gorzow with Grudziadz on Friday evening and competing in the DEWALT FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Wroclaw on Saturday.

Vadim Tarasenko also starred for the hosts on 11 paid 13, with former SGP2 star Kevin Malkiewicz collecting 10 paid 12. Danish star Bastian Pedersen bagged seven paid nine, while Speedway GP star Max Fricke and Maksym Drabik both picked up seven paid eight.

Polish star Przemyslaw Pawlicki followed up his Speedway European Championship qualification by scoring 12 for Falubaz, with Speedway GP racer Leon Madsen adding 11 paid 13. Andzejs Lebedevs scored six as Falubaz remained without the injured Dominik Kubera.

The day’s other meeting between Wroclaw and Gorzow at the Olympic Stadium was postponed due to a poor weather forecast. This will now take place on Tuesday, June 23.
