EKSTRALIGA | KURTZ UNBEATEN AS WROCLAW TAKES VICTORY

Aussie ace Brady Kurtz warmed up for tonight’s Events.com FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Gorzow by bagging a 12-point maximum for Wroclaw as they won 57-33 at home to Rybnik in the PGE Ekstraliga on Friday.

Kurtz left ATPI FIM Speedway GP of Great Britain – Manchester R5 last Saturday in pain following a crash in his fourth ride.

But it didn’t slow him down at the Olympic Stadium, and he will hope to bring his high-scoring heroics to Gorzow as he bids to close the 11-point gap between him and Polish icon Bartosz Zmarzlik at the top of the Speedway GP standings.

Kurtz was well supported by a 10 paid 12-point tally from Maciej Janowski and 10 paid 11 from 2021 Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta. Dan Bewley scored seven.

Double FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion Maksym Drabik collected 14 paid 15 for Rybnik, with Gleb Chugunov tallying 10.

Elsewhere, Aussie star Jack Holder racked up 11 paid 12 points for champions Lublin as they triumphed 55-35 at home to Gorzow.

He was backed up by 10 paid 12 from Speedway GP rival Dominik Kubera, with Zmarzlik notching nine, Fredrik Lindgren accruing eight paid nine points and SGP2 champion Wiktor Przyjemski picking up eight points.

Slovak star Martin Vaculik registered nine paid 10 for Gorzow, with Oskar Fajfer adding eight and Events.com FIM Gorzow Speedway GP wild card Oskar Paluch scoring seven paid eight. Anders Thomsen bagged six points, with Andzejs Lebedevs notching four paid five.
