Wroclaw stars Maciej Janowski and Bartlomiej Kowalski both received red cards as hosts Czestochowa claimed a fiery 46-31 victory in the PGE Ekstraliga on Friday.
Kowalski was red-carded by referee Bartosz Ignaszewski during heat four after falling while the Lions were leading, while Janowski was sent off after appearing to throw a glove in frustration at track commissioner Tomasz Walczak following a collision with Philip Hellstrom-Bangs in heat 14, which was not rerun due to track conditions. The Swede received a yellow card.
Polish racer Kacper Woryna topped the Lions score chart on 10 points, with Hellstrom-Bangs scoring seven paid nine for a team still missing Aussie ace Jason Doyle due to a hip injury.
Janowski was Wroclaw’s top scorer on nine, with Speedway GP star Dan Bewley adding eight and new Aussie signing Zach Cook claiming a useful six paid eight on his PGE Ekstraliga debut.
Elsewhere, former Speedway GP rider Przemyslaw Pawlicki picked up 13 points for Zielona Gora as they won 53-36 away to Rybnik.
Polish reserve Damian Ratajczak backed him up on 12 paid 13, with Leon Madsen notching nine, Jaroslaw Hampel adding eight paid 10 and Rasmus Jensen recording a straight eight.
Former World Under-21 champion Maksym Drabik scored 13 paid 14 points for Rybnik, with triple world champion Nicki Pedersen collecting nine paid 11.
