EKSTRALIGA | WARSAW WILD CARD DUDEK'S HEROICS NOT ENOUGH TO SAVE TORUN

Orlen Oil FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw wild card Patryk Dudek raced to 13 points for Torun, but it was not enough to save them from a narrow 46-44 loss at Zielona Gora on Sunday.

Former Speedway GP star Przemyslaw Pawlicki led the Falubaz scoring on 14 points, beating Dudek in a last-heat decider to seal victory for the hosts.

Former world No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel also impressed for Zielona Gora on nine paid 10, with 2023 SGP2 bronze medallist Damian Ratajczak scoring eight paid 10 points.

Triple FIM Speedway of Nations world champion Emil Sayfutdinov scored 11 paid 12 for Torun, while Great Britain’s Robert Lambert added eight paid nine and three-time European champion Mikkel Michelsen collected a straight eight. Czech rider Jan Kvech scored two.

In the day’s other meeting, in-form Polish star Piotr Pawlicki raced to a 14 paid 15-point maximum as Czestochowa saw off local rivals Rybnik 51-39.
