Danish star Leon Madsen followed up his Speedway European Championship round win in Gustrow by bagging 16 paid 17 points for Zielona Gora, but he couldn’t save them from a 50-40 loss at home to Wroclaw on Sunday.
Madsen won four of his seven races in the PGE Ekstraliga showdown, but 11 points from Great Britain hero Dan Bewley and 10 paid 11 from Speedway GP world title contender Brady Kurtz inspired the visitors to victory.
Former Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta notched nine paid 11 for Wroclaw, with Maciej Janowski adding eight paid nine.
Former world No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel accrued eight paid nine for Falubaz, with Danish racer Rasmus Jensen adding a straight eight.
