Great Britain racer Robert Lambert stormed to 10 paid 13 points for Vastervik as the club ended its 20-year wait for a Bauhaus Elitserien title.
Despite losing their home leg 46-44 on Tuesday night, Vastervik’s 41-37 win away to Smederna in the first leg last week was enough to hand them an 85-83 aggregate victory and their first league title since 2005.
Fresh from sealing his 2026 Speedway GP spot, Lambert led his side to gold as he warms up for FIM Speedway of Nations Semi-Final 1 on his Polish home track in Torun on Tuesday.
Poland’s Bartosz Smektala also impressed on 10 paid 11, with Denmark’s Mads Hansen notching nine and Swedish racer Fredrik Lindgren collecting eight paid nine, while his SON teammate Jacob Thorssell scored six paid eight.
Gleb Chugunov was Smederna’s top scorer on 12 paid 14, with 2026 Speedway GP qualifier Leon Madsen adding 11 paid 12. Danish champion Michael Jepsen Jensen – also in next year’s SGP line-up – scored nine. The Danish duo lines up in FIM SON Semi-Final 2 next Wednesday. Norwegian star Mathias Pollestad, who will lead his country into the SON too, scored seven paid eight.
