ELITSERIEN | LINDGREN STORMS TO SWEDISH MAX

Swedish ace Fredrik Lindgren heads into the FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague in fine form after scoring a 15-point maximum for Vastervik as they won 47-43 at home to Piraterna in the Bauhaus Elitserien on Tuesday.

Lindgren finished second in the Czech capital last year and will hope to build on his Vastervik heroics in Saturday’s Speedway GP showdown.

He was backed up by a 10-point tally from world No.2 Robert Lambert, with double Swedish champion Jacob Thorssell scoring seven.

Polish star Przemyslaw Pawlicki picked up 13 points for Piraterna, with young compatriot Oskar Paluch adding eight paid nine.

Elsewhere, German racer Kai Huckenbeck starred on 12 paid 13 points for Rospiggarna as they won 47-43 at home to Dackarna.

Huckenbeck picked up three race wins and will be hoping to take that form to Prague this weekend. He was aided by an 11 paid 12-point total from 2021 Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta, with Aussie international Ryan Douglas accruing eight paid 10.

Rospiggarna's victory was marred by a fall for SGP2 champion Wiktor Przyjemski in heat two. He withdrew from the meeting and confirmed he will undergo physio in Poland.

Latvian star Andzejs Lebedevs led the Dackarna scoring on 11 paid 12, with Swedish international Timo Lahti adding nine.

The day’s other match was halted after 10 heats by rain in Eskilstuna, with Smederna taking a 31-29 home win over Indianerna.

Poland’s Maksym Drabik was Smederna’s top scorer on eight points, with Speedway GP first substitute Leon Madsen collecting seven. Polish rider Szymon Wozniak top-scored on seven for the Indians, with American star Luke Becker picking up six paid seven, and Polish duo Patryk Dudek and Bartlomiej Kowalski bagging six each.
