FIM SPEEDWAY YOUNG GUNS SET FOR SGP3 SEMIS IN PARDUBICE

The road to Friday’s Beckhoff FIM SGP3 Final – Wroclaw gets underway with two stacked Semi-Finals at Czech track Pardubice on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The FIM Speedway Youth World Championship sees the sport’s top under-16 riders battle it out on 250cc machines, with the top eight in each Semi-Final advancing to Wroclaw, which last staged the Final in 2022, when Danish shooting star Mikkel Andersen topped the podium. He went on to win bronze in the 2025 SGP2 series – the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship.

SGP3 is an exciting step on the FIM Speedway pyramid, as riders from the 190cc SGP4 category for 11-13-year-olds bid to take the next step towards SGP2 and Speedway GP for the sport’s elite stars.

Semi-Final 1 on Tuesday features two former SGP4 champions taking the next step as Denmark’s Elias Jamil Jensen and American racer Brady Landon both battle for a place at the Olympic Stadium, with two-time SGP4 silver medallist Cooper Antone from Australia making his SGP3 debut.

Antone is joined in flying the Aussie flag by 2025 SGP3 finalist Nate Smith, while former SGP4 rider Oliver Bovingdon and Casper Kluczniak represent Great Britain.

With no Czech riders in Semi-Final 1, Slovakia’s Marek Ziman and former SGP4 rider Ondrej Trnik are the closest the locals have to a home rider, while Poland’s Oskar Winczewski bids to qualify for the Final in his homeland.

Also in action in Pardubice are Germany’s Bruno Preibisch and Lenja Tebbe, Latvia’s Andzejs Smulkevics, Romania’s Chelu Denis Alberto, Finland’s Topias Manner, Ukraine’s Arsenii Mykulchyn, Sweden’s Jesper Kvarnstrom and Slovenia's Tia Zorko.

Semi-Final 2 features Danish two-time SGP4 bronze medallist Niklas Bager, as well as Poland’s 2025 European 250cc Youth Speedway Championship top two, Franciszek Szczyrba and Dawid Oscenda.

Great Britain star Archie Rolph lines up on Wednesday, along with 2025 SGP3 finalist Makar Levishyn – younger brother of Ukrainian senior international Marko Levishyn – and Sweden’s former SGP4 finalist Adrian Axelsson.

The Czech challenge is led by Lukas Tlapak. Also competing in Semi-Final 2 are German pair Levi Bohme and Jan Oeltjenbruns, Australia’s Ky Mitchell, Denmark’s Storm Thomsen, Finland’s Luca Heikkila, Romania’s Andre Damian, Sweden’s Fabian Magnusson, Argentina’s Lisandro Lobos Modon and American racer Jameson Hutchinson.
