Aussie ace Max Fricke lines up in Denmark’s Speedwayligaen next year after signing for Slangerup.
Fricke is joined in the squad by Swedish international Timo Lahti, as well as former FIM Speedway World Cup winner Mikkel Bech, Patrick Kruse and Radoslaw Kowalski.
Elsewhere, triple FIM Speedway of Nations world champion Emil Sayfutdinov has extended his stay with Esbjerg into 2027.
Team manager Tom P Madsen said: “We are really proud that Emil chose Esbjerg Vikings in 2026, and that he has now agreed to another season. It means an incredible amount to the entire club. There have been offers for him, and that's not surprising. We're talking about one of the world's very best speedway riders. But I've always had a good feeling that Esbjerg was the right place for Emil.
“It has been a real pleasure to work with Emil and his team. He shows a class that only very few riders possess. At the same time, he has made a huge impression on both volunteers, fans and sponsors. He is simply a fantastic ambassador for the sport. I am already looking forward to seeing him show the way around Granly Speedway Arena again in 2027.”
Meanwhile, Danish racer Rasmus Jensen has extended his agreement with Holsted, where he is joined by Rene Bach.
