JEPSEN JENSEN LEADS SLANGERUP TO SECOND STRAIGHT DANISH CROWN

Danish champion Michael Jepsen Jensen stormed to 13 points for Slangerup as they retained their Speedwayligaen title with victory in the Super Final on Wednesday night.

It has been an incredible year for MJJ, who has sealed a return to Speedway GP for 2026 – his first full series since 2015. He also won his first Danish Championship and finished third at the Deluxe Homeart FIM Speedway GP of Denmark – Vojens on September 13.

As he prepares for his first FIM Speedway of Nations appearance for Denmark since 2018 next Wednesday, he also has a second Speedwayligaen championship in as many years to toast after winning four of his five races on home shale.

He was brilliantly supported by new European champion Patryk Dudek and three-time European champion Mikkel Michelsen, who both piled up 11 points apiece, while SGP2 star William Drejer added eight and Marcus Birkemose scored six as Slangerup romped to victory on 49 points.

Vojens club Sønderjylland Elite Speedway took second spot on 35, with triple Danish champion Anders Thomsen scoring 12 points and Latvian ace Andzejs Lebedevs collecting 10.

Third place went to Holsted on 29, with Swedish international Jacob Thorssell warming up for his country’s FIM Speedway of Nations Semi-Final in Torun on Tuesday by bagging 15 points.

Grindsted finished fourth with 19 points, with Polish star Przemyslaw Pawlicki leading their scoring on seven points.
