Polish SGP2 star Jakub Krawczyk makes his Danish Speedwayligaen debut with Grindsted in 2025.
Krawczyk lined up in this year’s SGP2 series, finishing ninth in the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship and finishing fourth in the DeWalt FIM SGP2 of Latvia – Riga.
The Wroclaw rider helped his Polish club reach the PGE Ekstraliga play-off final and is now set to test himself in Denmark.
The 20-year-old said: “I am very happy to have joined Grindsted in the Danish league. I believe it will help me grow further and become an even better rider.
“I’m excited to learn new things and gain experience on tracks I’ve never had the chance to ride before. I can’t wait for the 2025 season, which will be a new and exciting challenge for me.”
Krawczyk is also setting his sights on a return to the SGP2 line-up next year. He added: “My main goals for the upcoming season are to qualify for SGP2 and compete for the world championship title.
“I also aim to defend my title as the Polish Under-21 champion and achieve the best possible result in the individual Polish Championships. I hope that with hard work and the support of my team, I can achieve these goals.”
Elsewhere in Denmark, Esbjerg has added 17-year-old Danish young gun Andreas Olsen to its squad.
