Polish racer Dominik Kubera has extended his stay with Swedish side Lejonen and will captain the side into 2026.
The 2025 FIM SGP Challenge winner helped the Lions lift the 2024 Bauhaus Elitserien title and will play a key role in their bid to regain the trophy from Vastervik next year.
Lejonen boss Anders Frojd said: “Dominik Kubera is a dream for any team manager. He has it all. He is one of the fastest riders in the world.
“He is very loyal, speaks good English and has good leadership skills. He is a professional to the core.
“If he has any area for development, it is that he could be a little tougher on the track sometimes and close the opponents' racing lines.
"If he had done that, he would have been in the top five in the world.
“Dominik has enjoyed riding for Lejonen very much and liked our setup as well as visiting Isaberg and being in nature when he rides for us. We did not hesitate to extend Dominik's contract. He will be our team captain in 2026.”
Kubera will be joined in the side by Swedish rider Mathias Thornblom, who returns after a season on loan with Piraterna.
Elsewhere, Alfred Aberg has extended his deal with Indianerna into 2026.
