Polish racer Dominik Kubera has revealed he fought through the pain of a broken arm during the summer months.
Kubera says he suffered the injury at round two of the Polish Championship series in Ostrow on July 19. The fact he then raced to 2026 Speedway GP qualification by topping the podium at the FIM SGP Challenge in Holsted on August 9 is some feat.
He wraps up his 2025 SGP season at the Deluxe Homeart FIM Speedway GP of Denmark – Vojens this Saturday, bidding to improve on 11th spot in the standings, even if his place for next year is already guaranteed - whether or not he reaches the top seven.
Kubera says he is no longer experiencing pain due to the break he suffered as he kept the problem under wraps.
Asked about a tough run of form by Eleven Sports reporter Tomasz Lorek, he revealed: “I broke my arm. I never talked about it because I shouldn't have, but I was racing with an injury. I had a broken bone in my right arm. I'm only now recovering, and the arm is no longer hurting. But I won't blame my form on that.”
