Aussie icon Brady Kurtz moved level with Polish star Bartosz Zmarzlik at the Speedway GP World Championship summit after winning the 2026 Deluxe Homeart FIM Speedway GP of Denmark – Vojens sprint race.
Kurtz picked up the four championship points needed to draw level with Zmarzlik on 129 going into this evening’s meeting at the home of Danish speedway.
Great Britain racer Robert Lambert took second spot in the sprint, scoring three championship points to move within seven points of the Speedway GP lead on 122 points. He took victory over Zmarzlik in Q2 to ensure his title rival did not make the sprint.
Aussie star Max Fricke finished third in the sprint to claim a huge two championship points. This saw him leapfrog Denmark’s Leon Madsen for the all-important seventh and final automatic qualification place for the 2027 Speedway GP World Championship.
Former Speedway GP world champion Jason Doyle finished fourth, picking up one championship point.
