Latvian international Andzejs Lebedevs has sealed a return to Swedish side Smederna for the 2026 Bauhaus Elitserien.
The double European champion helped the club to three league titles on the bounce between 2017 and 2019, and he last raced for the Eskilstuna outfit in 2021, helping them secure the silver medals.
Lebedevs completes a move from Malilla rivals Dackarna, where he also lifted the league title in 2023.
The world No.6 said: “I have very special memories from Eskilstuna. In a way, it feels like my Swedish hometown. I am very happy to be back.”
Smederna boss Jerker Eriksson commented: “We are very happy that Andzejs is coming home again. We have very good memories together and work well together. He left Smederna as a good rider and returns as a star.
“Andzejs will be an important piece of the puzzle in the team next year and is one of those we will trust at the end of the matches. The heart and toughness that he rides with will be contagious to the entire squad.”
Lebedevs is joined in the side by the likes of Norwegian ace Mathias Pollestad, Gleb Chugunov, and Swedish riders Joel Andersson, Daniel Henderson, Anton Jansson and Leo Klasson.
Elsewhere, Poland’s 2024 SGP3 champion Maksymilian Pawelczak will make his Swedish league debut with Vargarna in 2026 after signing a two-year contract with the Norrkoping side.
And Piraterna has extended Polish racer Oskar Fajfer’s agreement with the Motala club into 2026.
