LINDGREN AGREES DANISH DEAL

Swedish star Fredrik Lindgren will compete in Denmark’s Speedwayligaen in 2026 after agreeing terms with Region Varde.

The seven-time Speedway GP winner raced to fourth place in this season’s SGP standings, as well as winning his fifth Swedish Championship, Bauhaus Elitserien gold with Swedish club Vastervik and PGE Ekstraliga silver with Lublin in Poland.

The 40-year-old will hope to add Danish league success to his stellar CV in 2026 as he teams up with double SGP2 champion Mateusz Cierniak in Outrup.

Commenting on the move, Lindgren posted on Facebook: “For the season of 2026, we decided to sign up for the Danish league and join Region Varde Elitesport.

“We feel very happy to try the Danish league for next season and we hope it will result in some great results together with the team and also from an individual perspective! See you in Denmark folks!”

Elsewhere, Vojens club Sønderjylland Elite Speedway has added Polish former SGP2 star Sebastian Szostak to their squad for 2026.
