LINDGREN RETURNS TO FIRST POLISH CLUB AFTER 23 YEARS AWAY

Speedway GP star Fredrik Lindgren makes his return to PGE Ekstraliga club Grudziadz after 23 years.

Fast Freddie penned his first Polish contract with the club in 2004 – the year in which he made his SGP debut as a wild card in Stockholm.

He was unveiled in an entertaining video, which saw team manager Robert Kosciecha call for some Swedish assistance as he attempted to build Ikea furniture.

Lindgren completes a switch from Lublin, where he won back-to-back PGE Ekstraliga titles in 2023 and 2024. The former world No.2 looks forward to lining up in Grudziadz colours again. He said: “This team has enormous potential. The core of the team has been retained.

“I'm a new face and I really hope I can help them achieve success, not only with points on the track, but also in the pits, sharing positive energy with my teammates. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it will be a great season for Grudziadz!”
