Due to an adverse weather forecast, the FIM Jury has elected to cancel Qualifying for the FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Lodz this afternoon.
With heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast to hit the area, the decision has been taken out of an abundance of caution to protect the Moto Arena Lodz racing surface for tonight’s event, with track covers being laid.
Racing is still scheduled to get underway in the city’s first-ever Speedway GP event at 19:00 CEST / 18:00 UK time, with a capacity crowd expected.
Riders’ starting positions will now be determined by a random FIM ballot, which will take place at 13:00 CEST.
We thank everyone for their patience and look forward to bringing you the FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Lodz this evening.
