MJJ STORMS TO IMME CROWN

Danish racer Michael Jepsen Jensen saw off a stellar field featuring seven Speedway GP stars to win the 2025 International Individual Ekstraliga Championship (IMME) in Lodz on Friday.

MJJ triumphed in the final ahead of 2021 Speedway GP world champion Artem Laguta in second, Polish star Dominik Kubera in third place and five-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik in fourth.

Kubera topped the score chart on 14 points from 20 heats, with MJJ scoring 12 to also gain automatic final qualification.

Zmarzlik, who scored 11, got the better of Britain’s Dan Bewley, Emil Sayfutdinov and Anders Thomsen to qualify from semi-final one, while Laguta, who also tallied 11, saw off Slovak star Martin Vaculik, Max Fricke and Patryk Dudek in semi-final two.

But it was Jepsen Jensen who got the verdict – less than a year after reviving his PGE Ekstraliga career with an incredible end to the 2024 season with Grudziadz, which helped the club reach the top-flight play-offs for the first time.
