NEW DEAL FOR NILSSON IN SWEDEN

Swedish international Kim Nilsson has extended his stay with Bauhaus Elitserien runners-up Smederna for 2026.

The former Speedway GP rider competes for the Eskilstuna outfit for a third straight season, joining the likes of Norwegian racer Mathias Pollestad, Gleb Chugunov, Danish talent Mikkel Andersen, Joel Andersson, Daniel Henderson, Anton Jansson and Leo Klasson in the squad.

Smederna boss Jerker Eriksson commented: “The collaboration with Kim has worked great over the years and there was never really any doubt that we would continue together in 2026. It is extra fun to have one of Sweden's best riders on the team as a good role model for the younger ones.”

Elsewhere, former Speedway GP star Przemyslaw Pawlicki has agreed a move to Indianerna for 2026.

Team manager Peter Johansson commented: “Pawlicki has been a nightmare opponent in the series, regardless of which teams he has represented and, with his toughness on the track, he is exactly the kind of rider I want in the team.

“When the initial contact was made, it quickly became clear that there was mutual interest and, from this, the negotiations went quickly and smoothly. I am really super pleased to be able to present him as a new acquisition.”
