Polish sensation Maksymilian Pawelczak topped the podium at Pardubice’s prestigious Golden Ribbon under-21 event on Saturday.
Younger brother of the city’s famous Golden Helmet, which takes place on Sunday, the Golden Ribbon saw a host of SGP2 stars battle it out, with Pawelczak winning a six-rider final.
Denmark’s SGP2 silver medallist Nicolai Heiselberg was second, with Great Britain racer Will Cairns third, Denmark’s Villads Pedersen fourth, Germany’s Patrick Hyjek fifth and Poland’s Radoslaw Kowalski sixth.
