Polish icon Bartosz Zmarzlik recaptured the FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Championship lead after racing to his third DEWALT FIM Speedway GP of Latvia – Riga win on Saturday.
Zmarzlik zoomed to victory at Bikernieki ahead of Great Britain star Robert Lambert in second place, with Aussie racer Brady Kurtz third and Polish star Kacper Woryna taking fourth spot.
Victory for Zmarzlik sees him claim a four-point advantage over Kurtz with two rounds remaining in Vojens on September 12 and Torun on September 26. Zmarzlik now has 129 points in total with Kurtz moving on to 125.
Meanwhile, Lambert’s 18-point haul sees him surge on to 119 in third place, meaning just 10 points separate the top three riders ahead of a thrilling finale to the 2026 Speedway GP series next month.
