STARS SIGN KVECH

King’s Lynn boss Rob Lyon is backing former Speedway GP star Jan Kvech to emerge as a “top heat leader” after extending his deal into 2026.

The British Premiership side recruited the 2022 SGP2 and SON2 silver medallist in 2024 and he has quickly established himself as a fan favourite at the Adrian Flux Arena.

Kvech joins British racer Chris Harris in the Stars starting line-up, and Lyon is backing the Czech talent to flourish in the UK this year.

He said: “Having Jan back was a no-brainer for us. He loves being at King’s Lynn, he loves racing in the UK, and we’ve got to encourage that. Given how much he wanted to be here, he was pretty much nailed on to be back with us next season.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, he could become a top heat leader for us, and I do expect big things from him.

“He has had his apprenticeship in British speedway with a couple of years over here learning the tracks, and hopefully now he’s going to kick on and be that top-end rider that we all know he’s capable of being.”
