Tickets for the most hotly-anticipated FIM Speedway world team final for over 50 years at Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy on Saturday, August 29 are on sale HERE now, with prices starting at 69 PLN.
After nine Speedway GPs events in the Polish capital, the PZM FIM Speedway World Cup Final is set to be the world’s biggest speedway event of 2026, with hosts Poland defending the SWC world title they won in dramatic style at Wroclaw’s Olympic Stadium in 2023.
They will face huge competition from 2025 FIM Speedway of Nations world champions Australia, as well as the winners of the two FIM SWC Semi-Finals in Landshut, Germany on May 1 and Latvian capital Riga on August 7. Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Norway, Sweden and Ukraine will contest the Semi-Finals with the draw to be confirmed soon.
This will be the biggest world team final since the 1970s – a decade which saw London’s famous Wembley Stadium and Chorzow’s Stadion Śląski host the FIM Speedway World Team Cup Final.
Staged every three years, the SWC is an iconic event, especially for fans in Poland – a country chasing a record-extending 10th gold medal since they first lifted the Ove Fundin Trophy in 2005.
They will be managed by returning boss Stanislaw Chomski, who led them to that world title in Wroclaw 20 years ago, with six-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, European champion Patryk Dudek and their Speedway GP rivals Dominik Kubera and Kacper Woryna among the contenders to fly the Polish flag at a packed PGE Narodowy.
PZM president Michal Sikora commented: “Great support, fans in red and white and good spirits – unforgettable moments are coming. These are the competitions we love as Poles.
“We won in 2023 in Wroclaw, and now we're returning to PGE Narodowy, where we have organised GPs every year. We're returning in a symbolic sense, because the Polish Speedway National Team has only raced an official competition there once, in 2016 against the Rest of the World, and... lost, so we have something to prove at a completely different level.”
