Six-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik has quashed speculation over his PGE Ekstraliga future by extending his stay with Lublin until the end of 2028.
Zmarzlik helped the club to back-to-back league titles in 2023 and 2024, before adding a silver medal last year.
There has been intense media speculation linking him with a switch to Wroclaw in recent months, but during a road racing training session with his Lublin teammates in Spain, Zmarzlik put talk over his future to rest.
His extension comes as a huge boost to a club that has made a breathtaking ascent from Second Division (National League) newcomers to PGE Ekstraliga powerhouse, having only re-established the sport in the city in 2017.
Lublin’s stadium is also set to undergo extensive renovations in the coming years to house a passionate fanbase that rapidly sells out the club’s current facility.
