VACULIK OPEN TO SPEEDWAY GP BID

Slovak star Martin Vaculik says he hasn’t closed the door on a Speedway GP return but admits he will only make a comeback if he can push for the podium.

Vaculik won Speedway GP World Championship bronze in 2023 but exited the competition at the end of last season after finishing 14th in the standings.

The Lublin star has consistently been among the best riders in the world over the past decade and hasn’t ruled out fighting for an SGP comeback.

He told Sportowefakty.pl: “Yes, I still plan to return to the Grand Prix series. Looking at myself objectively, though, I'll want to return to the World Championships when my results are good enough to allow me to compete for medals.

“I'm only interested in medals, not returning only to be eliminated from the series next season, so if I feel I'm strong enough to take up the challenge again, I'll do everything I can to advance to the Grand Prix series.”
