VACULIK SUFFERS SLOVAK CRASH

Slovak star Martin Vaculik required a trip to hospital after crashing out of practice for a Czech Ekstraliga event in his home city Zarnovica on Sunday.

Vaculik admits a broken chain caused more than just damage to the bike as he suffered a painful end to 2027.

Posting on Facebook, he wrote: “Sunday’s Czech Ekstraliga races ended in an unexpected way for me. During training, a chain broke, causing a leg fracture. Surgical intervention and wound stitching at a hospital in Slovakia were necessary.

“Fortunately, I feel very well! It's a shame that I'm ending the season this way, but that's life and sports. Thank you all for the messages, concern, and every word of support. It means a lot to me! Now it's time for recovery and preparation for the next season. May 2027 be definitely better!”
