Six-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik has been nominated for Przeglad Sportowy’s prestigious Polish Athlete of the Year prize – and you can help him take the win.
Zmarzlik triumphed in one of the most exciting Speedway GP World Championship races in recent memory this season, pipping Aussie ace Brady Kurtz to gold by one point and winning three SGPs along the way.
The 30-year-old is nominated alongside Polish sporting icons including tennis champion Iga Swiatek, football legend Robert Lewandowski, motor racing star Robert Kubica and speed climbing star and 2024 winner Aleksandra Miroslaw.
The contest is Poland’s equivalent of BBC Sports Personality of the Year in the UK, Sweden’s Jerring award or Denmark’s BT Guld award.
Zmarzlik topped the Przeglad Sportowy public vote in 2019 – the year he won his first Speedway GP World Championship.
And speedway fans can help him win his second in the year he matched New Zealand icon Ivan Mauger and Swedish great Tony Rickardsson’s record haul of six FIM Speedway World Championships.
