Triple Speedway GP world champion Tai Woffinden insists it’s “all eyes on 2026” after completing a remarkable track return in Wroclaw.
The Great Britain hero suffered multiple fractures and was airlifted to hospital when he crashed in Polish club Rzeszow’s sparring match away to Krosno on March 30.
Any thoughts of Woffinden getting back on a bike this year may have seemed fanciful at the time, but the determined 11-time Speedway GP winner posted a video on Friday evening, beaming with joy as he cut his first laps.
Now Woffinden is setting his sights on a racing comeback in 2026. Posting on Facebook, he wrote: “The last four months have been the biggest challenge of my life, but like I do with everything, I get knocked down and I get straight back up and keep on charging ... all eyes on 2026.”
Everyone involved in FIM Speedway wishes Tai continued success with his recovery.
