WORYNA LEADS QUALIFIERS IN POLISH CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE

Czestochowa racer Kacper Woryna led the charge into the Polish Championship series after winning Saturday’s Challenge event in Pila.

Woryna won the qualifier for the three-round Polish Championship series, scoring 13 points from five rides to join Speedway GP duo Bartosz Zmarzlik and Dominik Kubera in the competition, along with reigning champion Maciej Janowski, Patryk Dudek and Polish Under-21 champion Jakub Krawczyk, who also received seeded places.

It was a Lions one-two in Pila as Woryna’s in-form Czestochowa teammate Piotr Pawlicki took second spot on 12 – a tally matched by reigning SGP2 champion Wiktor Przyjemski in third.

Double SGP2 champion Mateusz Cierniak made the cut in fourth with 11 points, along with former Polish international Krzysztof Buczkowski.

Former Speedway GP regular Pawel Przedpelski qualified on nine, with 2024 SGP star Szymon Wozniak and 2018 Speedway GP rider Przemyslaw Pawlicki taking the last two places on eight apiece.

Former FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion Jakub Miskowiak just missed out in ninth spot on six points to secure the first reserve spot. Jakub Jamrog won a run-off with Krzysztof Sadurski and former SGP3 rider Kacper Mania to claim the second reserve place after they tied on five.

The line-up for the Polish Championship series will be completed by two wild cards selected by Polish team manager Rafal Dobrucki, with one additional wild card nominated for each of the three rounds.
