Polish icon Bartosz Zmarzlik joins a galaxy of motorcycling stars as he collects his fifth Speedway GP World Championship gold medal at the FIM Awards in Mallorca on Saturday.
Zmarzlik has already touched down in the Balearic Islands and wasted no time getting back on two wheels, cycling around Mallorca ahead of the weekend’s festivities.
Fans can watch the ceremony from the Palma Convention Centre live HERE from 22:10 CET as Zmarzlik is honoured alongside champions from all of the FIM’s other motorcycle disciplines.
These include FIM MotoGP world champion Jorge Martin, FIM Superbike world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, FIM Women’s Circuit Racing world champion Ana Carrasco, FIM EnduroGP world champion Josep Garcia, FIM Women’s Enduro world champion Mireia Badia, FIM Women’s Motocross world champion Lotte Van Drunen, FIM Rally-Raid world champion Ross Branch, FIM TrialGP world champion Toni Bou and FIM Women’s TrialGP world champion Emma Bristow.
Zmarzlik is joined in the Balearic Islands by SGP2 world champion Wiktor Przyjemski and SGP3 world champion Maksymilian Pawelczak after the trio completed an unprecedented clean sweep for Poland in the sport’s individual world championships in 2024.
Great Britain will also be honoured after collecting their second FIM Speedway of Nations world title in three years in Manchester in July, while Poland will also toast their SON2 gold medal – their 17th FIM Team Speedway Under-21 World Championship and their 11th on the bounce – also secured at Britain’s National Speedway Stadium.
The FIM Awards will be preceded by various activities at Palma Village - located at Parc de la Mar, near the Cathedral - ahead of an autograph session taking place at the same venue later in the day.
Fans can watch the FIM Awards ceremony from 22:10 CET / 21:10 UK live on DAZN in Spain or via Max and discovery+. It is also available to view free of charge via the FIM’s official online channel HERE.
