Five-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik has extended his contract with PGE Ekstraliga champions Lublin into 2026.
The record 26-time Speedway GP winner has won back-to-back Polish league titles with the club following his move from boyhood team Gorzow ahead of the 2023 season.
Racing alongside Speedway GP rivals Fredrik Lindgren, Jack Holder and Dominik Kubera, as well as double SGP2 champion Mateusz Cierniak and reigning SGP2 champion Wiktor Przyjemski, Zmarzlik spearheads a dream team being tipped to push hard for the club’s fourth straight championship.
Zmarzlik had no intention of changing a winning formula. He said: “The president was interested in me staying for another year, so that we wouldn't have to have any more talks during the season.
“Together with the team and my brother Pawel, who is my manager, we have no objections or complaints about anything.
“It's really worth racing at a club where everything is professional. If you feel good in a good place, you shouldn't change it.”
Zmarzlik launches his bid for a record-equalling sixth FIM Speedway World Championship at the WWK FIM Speedway GP of Germany – Landshut on Saturday, May 3.
As well as racing for Lublin this year, he will also compete for Bauhaus Elitserien champions Lejonen in Sweden.
